To check your CIBIL score in GPay, open Google Pay, go to the “Manage your money” section and tap “Check your CIBIL score for free”, then follow the on-screen steps. Google’s help page marks Email ID and PAN as optional on first use, and says you give consent afresh every time you check.
This desk read that page on 16 October 2026.
How to check CIBIL score in GPay, per Google
The consumer help page says the report is “powered by TransUnion CIBIL”, that CIBIL refreshes it monthly, and that Google Pay notifies you when a new one is ready. Google calls consent “transactional in nature”: it withdraws immediately after one use. Answer the security questions wrongly and the score is not shown. CIBIL’s helpline, as listed on 16 October 2026, is 91 22 6140 4300, Monday to Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM IST.
The consumer app against the Business app
Google’s help page for the Google Pay for Business app sets different rules.
| Google Pay (consumer) | Google Pay for Business | |
|---|---|---|
| Path | Manage your money > Check your CIBIL score for free | Home > Loans & more > Check CIBIL score at no cost |
| PAN | Marked optional | Personal PAN; business owner only |
| Identity check | Security questions | Security questions and mobile OTP |
| Refresh | Monthly, with a notification | Fresh report every 30 days |
| History | Not stated | Past 6 months; score wiped after 6 months |
| Fetch limit | Not stated | No restriction |
| “Good” score | 771 to 790 (“prime plus or good”) | 750 or above |
“Not stated”: the consumer page, read 16 October 2026, did not say. The consumer page’s five bands run from 680 or less (“sub prime or poor”) to 791 and above (“super prime or great”); the Business page calls 850 excellent.

Frequently asked questions
Does checking the score on Google Pay reduce it?
Google says it does not. Its consumer help page states that checking the credit score on Google Pay doesn’t impact your credit score. That is Google’s statement about its own feature, which this desk did not test, and it does not cover enquiries lenders make.
Is the Google Pay score official?
Google describes the report as powered by TransUnion CIBIL and says its data is what your bank or financial institution shared with CIBIL. It is a CIBIL report shown inside Google Pay. Google’s page does not call Google Pay a credit bureau, and neither would we.
Can errors in the report be corrected?
Google’s page does not route corrections through Google Pay. It says that if any information in the report is incorrect, you report it to CIBIL by creating a ticket on the CIBIL website. The lender that supplied the wrong entry is the other party to chase.
None of this is financial advice. Before borrowing through any app, check the bank or NBFC behind it with the regulator directly.
